Vocational educational support with new course extensions, practical skills acquisition and tailored assistance to develop study and work habits of marginalized youth in Kenya

The project targets young people from disadvantaged environments, aged 18 to 35, specifically those who have not yet acquired any professional skills, or those who have some professional skills but lack certification, disadvantaging them in finding a job. The projects main activity focuses on extending the existing vocational training by six new courses, and three new courses of shorter duration for 60 young people to certify their existing skills. The partner’s entire vocational training will thus provide certification of skills for up to 500 young people from disadvantaged environments.

By creating cooperation with companies of various kinds, 90% of students will get an opportunity for internship, thereby increasing their chances for employment, resulting in up to 80% success rate of vocational training graduates being employed or self-employment.
